"A Taste of Touchstone"

News flash! I'm teaching a portrait drawing course in September and there's a show opening next week to showcase all the talented professionals who will also be teaching at Touchstone Center For Crafts in Farmington, PA alongside me. You may remember these two from the glory days of "Bathhouse" and in case you didn't see them then, this is your second chance. They'll be chillin at the Saville Gallery from February 3rd-17th. Opening night is February 10th.

Here's a little sneak peek at the catalog my class is included in. For more info, hit the LINK

The Disloyalty Snake of Cleveland

This has been waiting a few months for the reveal and now the time has come! The Midwest Wolfman and one of my favorite creative partners in crime, Trey Kirchoff, of Passengers Cafe fame, asked me if I'd create an illustration for a coffee mug he was working on as part of a bigger project to get people in Cleveland into their local coffee shops. Passengers Cafe, along with Duck-Rabbit Coffee, Rising Star, Phoenix Coffee and Pour Cleveland are setting up a disloyalty program where, if you fill up your "disloyalty card" with a stamp from each of these coffee shops, you get a FREE mug! With my illustration on it! There's a limited run of 250 so get to it people. Once they are gone, THEY ARE GONE! Big thanks again to Trey Kirchoff for this fun gig.

Check out some of the more interesting moments from the creative process below.

Always tryin to draw those darn rats but those don't really exist in Cleveland. But, the western rat snake on the other hand....

Ain't she a beaut?

I Won't Be Needing You Anymore

The battle of the modern cowboys has been completed! This one went through a lot of revisions and idea adjustments over the 4 months I was working on it. It bounced all over the place from purely focusing on one subject such as masculinity, business, technology, advertising, appropriation, or nostalgia and I think it managed to nestle in somewhere among all those things in the end. Enjoy all the process pics below.
